Why I built ProspectGround

After years working in and around the SaaS industry, I kept running into the same problem: revenue teams were spending enormous amounts of time on manual prospect research — searching regulator registries by hand, cross-referencing LinkedIn, trying to estimate AUM from press releases and filing footnotes.

The right tools didn't exist. ZoomInfo has millions of contacts but no understanding of whether a fund is authorised, what strategy it runs, or whether it's even in your addressable market. Data was there on the web — but inaccessible at scale, and never with the source citations that compliance-conscious financial services firms need.
